White Quartzites: As Tough as Granite

If you want a white surface that stands up to a daily-use kitchen, quartzite is the other option: as hard as granite, with the veining of marble.

How to Choose a White Granite

What varies most from one slab to another. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the space and we will suggest two or three options.

  • White with dots

Bianco Sardo is white with gray and black dots, even across the whole slab.

  • White with a touch of pink

From a distance Rosa Beta looks white; up close it shows pink and gray crystals.

  • White with veining

If you want the white veining of a marble with the hardness of a granite, quartzite is the answer: see White Macaubas and Mont Blanc quartzite below.

Questions About White Granite

Does white granite stain?

White granites absorb more than dark ones. They are sealed when installed, and oil and wine should be cleaned up quickly.

White granite or white quartzite?

Both take heat, scratches and lemon. Granite shows specks; quartzite shows veins, like marble.

Can you get Blanco Dallas or Kashmir White?

Yes. You see them up here with a slab visualization; before you buy, we send you real photos of the slabs available.
