Perla Venata quartzite

Quartzite · Brazil

Like every quartzite, Perla Venata takes what marble does not: a knife leaves no mark, and heat and acids weigh on it far less. You choose it from photos of the real slab and it arrives on request to any country.

What to ask for before buying Perla Venata

Choosing a quartzite happens slab by slab: ask for the photo of the full slab before approving any cut. If your piece takes several zones, ask to see the slabs together and check where the pattern crosses each cut. The finish is decided before too: polished gives full gloss and honed lowers it. Wet, full gloss slips more. Also ask about porosity: a drop of water on the stone tells you whether that slab asks for sealer.

Perla Venata Quartzite finishes

From the gloss of polished to the matte of honed, the finish decides how much light the stone returns and how it behaves where there is water.

  • Polished

Full gloss: it returns a lot of light and is the finish of kitchens and tables; wet, the surface slips.

  • Honed

It removes the reflection and leaves the surface matte; it slips less than polished, so it goes in showers and on floors.

  • Leathered

Low gloss and a soft texture you notice as you run your hand over it; it gives character to tables and cladding.

Questions about Perla Venata Quartzite

Does Perla Venata quartzite work for a kitchen countertop?

Yes, it is one of the uses where it performs best: a knife leaves no mark, and heat and acids weigh on it far less than on marble. In return, it is hard to cut and polish: that shows in the shop work. The other candidates for that countertop are under natural stone for kitchens.

Does Perla Venata quartzite need sealer?

It depends on the slab you get: porosity varies between quartzites and only the test confirms it. The test is a drop: water on an offcut, and if the stone looks darker at that spot, that piece asks for sealer. Day to day, clean with mild soap and, for cutting, use a board: you protect the knife edge.

How do I choose the slab if I cannot see it in person?

With photos: before you approve any cut, we send you the slabs available for your order. In each photo you see the full pattern and decide which zone you want in view. If the piece takes several cuts, ask to see them together so the whole arrives with no surprises.

How do I confirm it is quartzite and not another stone?

Two tests on an offcut tell you: true quartzite scratches glass, and a drop of lemon shows whether the stone reacts. If it reacts, that piece contains some calcite or dolomite: it is worth knowing before you buy.

How does Perla Venata quartzite get to my country?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
