Marble sinks made to measure for your bathroom

You choose the real slab in photos, and we coordinate the sink with your bathroom's measurements and the position of your faucet. We ship to any country, and when the project calls for it we also arrange installation.

Granite, marble or onyx sink?

In a bathroom the stone lives with water, soap and cosmetics every day. Each one responds to that differently.

  • Slab of Carrara marble

    Marble

    Holds up
Water and decades of bathroom use. Sealed, it resists makeup stains well.
    Keep in mind
It is softer than granite and acidic products dull it. We explain how to care for it below.

  • Steel Grey granite slab

    Granite

    Holds up
Cosmetics, dyes and cleaning products without losing the shine: it barely absorbs and acids do not etch it.
    Keep in mind
It has grain instead of veining. Its hardness makes carving the basin harder work, which is why it often carries an undermount sink instead.

  • Honey onyx slab

    Onyx

    Holds up
It is translucent: with a light behind it, the vanity becomes the piece that defines the bathroom.
    Keep in mind
It is softer and more fragile than marble. It suits powder rooms and lightly used vanities, sealed and cleaned with neutral products.

Marble sinks: integrated, undermount or vessel

The shape of the basin changes how it cleans, how much stone it takes and where the water goes.

Cross-section of three stone sink types side by side: integrated, carved into the countertop with a slope toward a slot and a hidden drain, an undermount sink with the countertop thickness marked, and a vessel sink resting on the countertop 123456 Integrated Undermount Vessel
  1. Integrated basinCarved from a solid block or assembled from pieces of the same slab joined at a miter, so the veining runs from the countertop into the basin uncut.
  2. SlopeThe bottom falls toward the drain so water runs off instead of pooling on the stone.
  3. Hidden drainWater falls through a slot next to the wall and the drain stays hidden under the countertop.
  4. Countertop thicknessBathrooms use 2 or 3 cm. With a mitered apron it looks thicker without the weight of a solid piece.
  5. Undermount sinkIt is glued underneath and the edge of the cutout is polished, so water and debris sweep into the basin in one pass.
  6. Vessel sinkIn stone or ceramic, it rests on top. The countertop only takes the drain hole, and the faucet hole too if the faucet does not come out of the wall.

Sink in the US, basin in the UK: every country has its own word for it. The one set into the countertop is also known as a drop-in.

How do you care for a marble vanity top with a sink?

Soap, toothpaste, perfumes and cosmetics leave dull marks on marble, just as lemon does in a kitchen. The surface loses its shine right where the product lands. In a lappato finish those marks are almost invisible; in polished they show against the light.

The sealer helps against makeup or dye stains, but it does not prevent those marks. To clean it, a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft cloth are enough. If you want a sink that looks like day one, granite or quartzite solves it.

How much a marble sink costs

A basin carved from the same stone takes more material and more work than a countertop with an undermount sink. The stone you choose and the length of the countertop do the rest.

Questions about marble sinks

For the kitchen, see granite, marble and quartzite countertops. And here, how the stone reaches your country.

Can the sink be carved from the same stone as the countertop?

Yes. The basin is carved from a solid block or assembled from pieces of the same slab, mitered together, so the vein runs from the countertop into the basin. The basin floor slopes toward the drain so water never sits still on the stone.

What finish is best for a marble sink?

Almost always lappato. Soap, toothpaste and perfumes leave matte marks on marble. On a lappato finish they show far less than on polished. Polish brings out the color of dark marbles more, but it asks for more care.

Does a marble sink need to be sealed?

Yes, seal it at installation and repeat every one or two years. The sealer slows stains from makeup, hair dye or oil, but it does not stop the matte marks acidic products leave.

Do you make marble vanity tops with an integrated sink?

Yes. We make both in the same stone: the sink carved into the marble or set on top of the vanity, with the cutout sized to the model you choose.

Do you ship marble sinks to other countries?

Yes. We ship to any country, and when the project calls for it we also arrange installation. The sink travels in a wooden crate with the edges and the basin protected.
