What Calacatta Manhattan marble looks like
The light gray vein runs on the diagonal across the whole white background: fine, wavy lines, tight together, that build a dense but soft pattern. A few light beige touches temper the white. The contrast is low: from afar the slab in the photo reads almost even, and up close you can tell the sway of each line. From one area to the next the pattern changes moderately within the slab, without losing its diagonal direction.

Both carry fine gray veins over a white background. On Calacatta Vagli the veins cross in an irregular web; on the Manhattan they run on the diagonal, fine and wavy, with low contrast. Compare photos of the two slabs side by side and the difference shows fast.
Does Calacatta Manhattan work for the kitchen?
It works if you accept the patina: like every marble, the acid in lemon, wine or tomato leaves a dull zone on the polish. Sealer reduces how much it absorbs, and drying acidic liquids at once is part of daily care. If you want a countertop that never changes, this is not your stone.
What Care Does This Stone Need?
Neutral soap with water is all the routine cleaning; acidic cleaners are out. Dry acidic liquids at once and apply sealer according to what the slab absorbs: the water drop test shows when it is time to repeat. The sealer does not make the stone waterproof, but it reduces how much it absorbs.
