When an acidic liquid spills and you do not wipe it up right away, it leaves a dull patch that no cleaning removes: it is a chemical reaction, not a stain. How does it differ from granite and quartzite?
Granite wins on hardness and stands up better to acids. Quartzite adds that hardness and often imitates the look of marble. Dolomite goes for something else: natural veining and wear marks that can be polished out again.
How do you care for Dolomite marble?
Clean with water and neutral soap, and the moment an acidic liquid spills, dry it before the mark sets. Sealer reduces how much the stone absorbs; to know if you need it, drop some water in a corner and see if the spot darkens after a while. Keep acidic cleaners away: they etch the polish.
