Lilac marble

Marble · Turkey

Diagonal bands of dark violet veins, fine and tightly packed, cross the white background: that is the slab in the Lilac marble photo. Its violet web shows in full in the bathroom and on walls, the spaces where it works best.

What Lilac Marble Looks Like

A very dense web of dark violet veins covers the white background of this slab: the strokes are fine and gather in bands that run across the surface on the diagonal. Gray runs with the violet inside the same veined pattern, at high contrast against the white. The photo shows the slab with the shine of its polish. The pattern changes markedly within the slab, so the piece to be cut is chosen from the photo of its own slab.

Lilac Marble Finishes

The finish changes the slab's shine and feel; the choice depends on the space and the use.

  • Polished

It is the one in the photo: smooth to the touch and the finish that returns the most light.

  • Honed

Soft to the touch with no shine: the one chosen for the bathroom floor and shower.

  • Brushed

It leaves fine lines you can feel and a soft sheen, less mirror-like than polished.

  • Antiqued

It removes reflection completely and leaves the surface with the feel of aged stone.

Questions about Lilac Marble

How is it different from Luminous marble?

In their photos, both are whites with color veins as the main event. On Luminous the veining is intense lemon yellow over a bluish white; on the Lilac slab it is dark violet and gathers in diagonal bands. The difference comes down to the tone of the veining.

Does Lilac marble work in a kitchen?

Yes, with conditions: if you want zero marks on a countertop, this is not your stone. Lemon, vinegar or wine leave an opaque patch on the polish; the reaction is chemical and cleaning will not remove it. The surface recovers when it is polished again. Granite stands up better to acids; the options are compared under kitchen stone.

What care does Lilac marble need?

Clean it with water and neutral soap; wipe up any acidic liquid, such as lemon or wine, as soon as it lands. With a background this light, stains show: do not let coffee sit. Sealer depends on what your slab absorbs: place a drop of water on it, and if the stone below darkens, it is time to seal.

Is the photo a real slab?

Yes. They show the real slab of this marble with its polished shine, plus a close-up where you can see how fine the veins of the web are. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
