What Arabescato Corchia marble looks like
The web rules this slab: fine veins that run from dark gray to black travel diagonally and enclose many small white fragments. The pattern is brecciated and high in contrast on a warm white background. In the photo, the texture stays even from one end of the slab to the other.

Arabescato Corchia marble finishes
The finish decides how much the warm white shines and how sharply the dark web stands out.
-
Polished
Mirror shine: the dark web stands out sharply against the warm white background.
-
Honed
Matte and soft to the touch: the contrast drops a notch and it is less slippery where there is water.
-
Brushed
Fine stripes and a firm feel: the floor option where traffic would wear the shine.

Questions about Arabescato Corchia marble
How does Arabescato Corchia differ from Arabescato Apuano?
Both have white and dark gray veins, but the stroke changes. The Apuano draws thick, branching veins that cross the white diagonally, while the Corchia weaves a much tighter web of fine lines that leave each white fragment surrounded. See both photos side by side on the Arabescato Apuano page.
Can Arabescato Corchia marble take a kitchen countertop?
It works, as long as you accept the marks daily use leaves. A squeeze of lemon or a splash of wine is enough to dull the shine right where they land, and that opaque patch does not come off with cleaning, because the acid has eaten a little of the polish. Repolishing corrects it. If you would rather not give a countertop that care, a quartzite gives the same marble look with much greater hardness.
Which finish works in a shower?
On the shower floor, honed or brushed, because a wet polished surface is slippery. On the walls, polished pays off: it brightens the warm white and keeps the dark web sharply defined. To keep the dark web and the warm white crisp, clean with water and neutral soap and dry any acidic liquid quickly.
Does Arabescato Corchia marble need sealer?
It has to be applied: marble absorbs, and the sealer reduces how much soaks in without closing the stone completely. The test is simple: a drop of water on the surface; if it darkens after a while, it is time to seal again. On a background this light, a spill shows right away, so wipe it up as soon as it lands.
