What Arabescato Oro Marble Looks Like
A web of fine golden brown veins runs over the white background of this slab. The strokes form an irregular pattern of large fragments: the web surrounds wide areas of white and leaves them open. Density is medium: the pattern fills the slab without covering the background. The pattern does not repeat with the same strength across the slab: it changes moderately from one side to the other. Every marble slab carries its own pattern, so it is worth choosing yours from the full photo.

Arabescato Oro Marble Finishes
In a stone with fine patterning like this one, the finish decides how much the white shines and how much the web stands out.
-
Polished
It gives back the most shine: the white reflects light and each golden brown stroke stands out against the background.
-
Honed
Matte and soft to the touch. It lowers the shine of the white and gives more grip in showers and on wet floors.
-
Brushed
A texture you can feel and no shine; made for traffic areas, where polish wears out over the years.

Other Arabescato selections
The Oro carries golden brown veins over white, in large fragments. The Corchia packs a much denser web of dark veins, the Vagli veins in soft gray, and the Apuano crosses the white with thick diagonal strokes. All Arabescato selections

Questions About Arabescato Oro Marble
How Is This Oro Different from Arabescato Corchia?
The first thing that changes is the web. Corchia traps small white fragments inside a very dense web of dark veins; in Arabescato Oro the web is less dense and golden brown, leaving large white fragments open. Compare them by looking at the slabs: the Arabescato Corchia page shows its slab in full.
How Does Arabescato Oro Marble Hold Up as a Kitchen Countertop?
Well, as long as you accept how marble ages. Lemon, vinegar or wine dull the shine where they land; that dull area does not come off with cleaning because it is a chemical reaction. Over the years the surface takes on a patina of use; if you would rather it show less, granite stands up better to acids.
What Care Does This Stone Need?
Clean it with neutral soap and water. Wipe up lemon, wine or tomato right away: where they land, the polish dulls and the area turns matte. Sealer reduces how much the stone absorbs; apply it when a drop of water darkens it.
Is the Photo at the Top of the Page a Genuine Slab?
It is a photo of a real slab: the white background with the golden brown web you see is that slab's true pattern. Every marble slab comes out different. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
