What Silver Stream Marble looks like
Black and bluish gray wavy bands cross the slab in the photo in diagonal, dense, over a light bluish gray background. The pattern is high-contrast banding: the black stands out sharply against the gray, with the polish shine the photo shows. Bluish gray and white complete the palette. The banding rules the whole slab and the internal variation is moderate.

Questions about Silver Stream Marble
How is it different from Striato Olimpico marble?
In its photo, Striato Olimpico builds continuous, parallel horizontal stripes in bluish gray and white. In the Silver Stream photo, the pattern leans: black and bluish gray wavy bands running in diagonal. Straight stripes against black waves: the difference jumps out when you see the two photos.
Does Silver Stream work for a kitchen countertop?
With conditions. The problem on a countertop is acids: lemon or vinegar leaves a dull patch on the marble that is not a stain but a chemical reaction. If you accept that the countertop takes on patina, it works; sealer reduces how much it absorbs, and the marks of use can be polished out later. If you want a countertop without that care, natural stone for kitchens has stones that tolerate acids better.
Which finish do I order for a shower or a bathroom floor?
Honed or brushed. Polished is slippery when wet, and water falls in a shower every day. Honed leaves a firmer feel and less reflection. On the dry bathroom walls, the shine in the photo works well.
Is the photo a real slab?
Yes. It is one Silver Stream slab in two shots: the whole piece and a close-up detail. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.
