What Repen Marble Looks Like
The background of the slab in the photo is a light gray with hints of beige gray. Fine, curved black marks spread across it: they are fossils. Horizontal light clouds accompany them. The contrast between marks and background is medium, with moderate variation within the slab. In the photo the finish looks matte: the gray gives back no shine.

Which finish suits Repen Marble
A polished Repen and a honed Repen do not look the same: choose the shine for the piece and its use.
-
Polished
Maximum shine, the one that shows the light gray best and the first to show an acid mark.
-
Honed
Matte shine and a soft touch: the finish for shower floors, because wet polish is slippery.
-
Brushed
A flat shine and a brushed texture: together with honed, the finish that works for bathroom floors and showers.

Questions about Repen Marble
How is Repen different from other gray marbles?
The fossils: in the photo of the Repen slab you see curved black marks over light gray, with horizontal clouds. In its photo, Pietra Serena is a smooth, uniform medium gray with no veins. Jolie Grey shows a dark gray with light veins that cross diagonally and form diamonds. If you prefer clouds, Grigio Billiemi plays with light clouds in its photo too, plus a horizontal dark band.
Does Repen marble work for a kitchen countertop?
Yes, with one condition: you accept the patina that daily use leaves. A lemon, vinegar or a glass of wine leaves a dull mark on the polish. It is not dirt, it is a chemical reaction, and re-polishing fixes it. If you don't want to watch every lemon that lands, granite stands up to acids better.
What care does Repen marble need?
Clean it with neutral soap and water. Wipe up any acidic liquid as soon as it spills. A drop of water tells you: if the stone darkens underneath, it is absorbing and it is time to seal.
How do I choose the Repen slab for my order?
Every marble slab is different, and on a patterned stone you notice it: it pays to see them before you decide. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.
How does Repen marble reach my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
