What Breccia Capraia marble looks like
Violet tones tint the dense web of dark gray veins that runs across the white background of the slab in the photo, enclosing white fragments. The dark of the web against the white creates high contrast. In this slab the brecciated pattern changes noticeably from one area to the next. Since every slab of Breccia Capraia builds its own mosaic of fragments, yours is chosen from photos of the available slabs.

Breccia Capraia marble finishes
The finish changes the shine and the feel of Breccia Capraia; wherever there is water, a matte one is the right call.
-
Polished
High shine and a smooth surface; slippery when wet, and the finish where acid leaves a dull mark.
-
Honed
It removes the reflection and slips less than polished: it suits showers and vanities.
-
Brushed
A light texture to the touch and no shine; an alternative to honed on bathroom floors.

Questions about Breccia Capraia marble
What is the difference between Breccia Capraia and Arabescato Corchia?
In its photo, Arabescato Corchia shows a very dense web of fine dark veins enclosing many small white fragments. In the Breccia Capraia photo, a dark gray web with violet tones surrounds white fragments. The violet tint is what sets the two photos apart.
Does Breccia Capraia work as a kitchen countertop?
Yes, for anyone who accepts that a marble countertop ages with marks from use. On the polished surface of Breccia Capraia, lemon juice, tomato or wine leave a dull mark, which comes from a chemical reaction, not from a stain. If your kitchen has to stay mark-free, granite stands up better to acids.
What care does Breccia Capraia marble need?
Clean it only with neutral soap and water. Wipe up any splash of wine, coffee or tomato right away. A sealer reduces how much the stone absorbs; it does not make it waterproof. A drop of water tells you when it is time to seal again: if the stone darkens under it.
Can I receive Breccia Capraia in my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
