Trani marble

Marble · Italy

Golden beige with a fine grain, discreet mottling and no veins: the background of Trani marble reads as one continuous color and looks great in bathrooms and on walls.

What Trani marble looks like

The background is yellowish beige, covered by fine mottling in golden beige, cream and light ochre, evenly spread. There are no veins: the slab reads almost as a single color. That continuous background is what sets it apart. Contrast is low, and within the slab the mottling spreads evenly, with no areas that lighten or darken. The photo shows the matte surface, with the grain visible and no reflection. From slab to slab the grain never comes out identical: the ones in your order are confirmed with photos.

Trani marble finishes

In a beige with such an even grain, the finish decides the shine and the feel more than the pattern.

  • Polished

The classic shine of marble; slippery when wet, so it works best on walls and tables.

  • Honed

The matte that suits anywhere there is water: soft surface, no shine.

  • Brushed

Fine stripes and a firm touch; adds grip where the floor gets wet.

  • Antiqued

Matte with a lived-in stone texture; if any piece goes outside, this one beats polished.

Questions about Trani marble

How do I tell this Trani apart from Trani Filetto Rosso?

Filetto Rosso scatters sinuous reddish filaments and small isolated dark spots over its cream background. This Trani carries no filaments and no spots: its fine mottled grain stays even, with no veins crossing it.

Does Trani marble work for a kitchen countertop?

A countertop asks for a deal: over the years the surface takes on a patina, and kitchen acids (lemon, vinegar, wine) leave a dull mark in the polish. That mark is a chemical reaction, not a stain that scrubs out. Sealer helps with what the stone absorbs; the acid mark forms on the polish. On a light beige like this one, every spill also shows.

Can it be used on floors?

Yes, on interior floors. It is worth sealing it and expecting the shine to wear down little by little in traffic areas. That wear is not permanent: the surface can be polished again and the wear marks come out.

How do you clean Trani marble?

Water and neutral soap are enough. What matters is drying acidic liquids quickly, such as lemon juice or tomato, so they do not act on the polish. How much sealer the slab carries is checked with the drop test: if the stone absorbs it and a dark spot is left, it is time to seal before you use the surface.

Where does Trani marble ship to?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
