Lipica Unito marble

Marble · Slovenia

A fine-grained beige gray that barely changes across the slab: no veins and low contrast. Lipica Unito fits naturally in bathrooms and on walls, where that calm is welcome.

What Lipica Unito marble looks like

A beige gray with hints of light gray covers the slab in the photo. There are no veins: the whole pattern is a fine, even grain, with contrast so low that the surface reads as one tone. Up close you see the fine grain and the matte texture. The exact slab for your order is chosen from real photos: every slab comes out different.

Lipica Unito finishes

In a stone with no pattern, the finish defines almost the whole result: it changes the gloss, the feel and the care it needs.

  • Polished

The glossiest on this beige gray. Watch out for lemon and wine: on a polished finish they leave their dull mark.

  • Honed

Matte; wet, it slips less than polished: it goes in showers and bathroom floors.

  • Brushed

The other option when honed does not convince you, for showers and bathroom floors.

Questions about Lipica Unito marble

Are Lipica Unito and Lipica Fiorito the same stone?

No. They are two stones from the same family, starting from the same beige gray. The difference is the pattern: Lipica Fiorito carries small dark fossil figures spread across the whole slab; the Unito has no figures, just the even grain. Seen side by side, the two slabs are easy to tell apart.

Does Lipica Unito work in a kitchen?

It works in a kitchen if you can accept wear marks as part of the material. Lemon, wine or tomato leave a dull patch where the polish has dulled: it is a chemical reaction of the calcite, not a stain. If you want a kitchen without a single mark, the Marble or granite? guide compares the two stones.

Does Lipica Unito marble need sealer?

It depends on how much your slab absorbs: the stone is porous and sealer lowers how much it takes in, though it does not make it waterproof. The water drop test shows when to renew it: if water soaks in and darkens the surface, it is time to seal again. To clean it, pH-neutral soap and water; wipe up wine or tomato right away.

What if I want it for the floor?

It works on indoor home floors. In wet areas, honed or brushed gives more grip than polished, which is slippery when wet. Over the years, foot traffic dulls the gloss where people walk the most; a re-polish brings the gloss back.

How do I buy it and how does it arrive?

Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order. We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
