What Grigio Carnico Marble Looks Like
Fine, crisp white veins branch out across the gray-black background and run in several directions; behind them runs a faint gray web. The contrast is high: the white cuts hard and the background holds it. The photo shows a high-gloss polish. Within the same slab, the vein pattern varies moderately. Another slab will bring another web: the piece in your order is chosen from photos.

Questions about Grigio Carnico Marble
Are Grigio Carnico and Gris Carnico the same stone?
Yes: it is the same stone with two spellings. Gris Carnico is another way of writing Grigio Carnico; both name this marble.
How is it different from Napoleon Black marble?
Napoleon Black is an intense black crossed by an irregular web of crisp white veins. The Carnico slab in the photo stays gray-black: its fine veins branch in several directions, and behind them runs a faint gray web. The difference shows above all in the background, which here leans more gray.
Does Grigio Carnico hold up as a kitchen countertop?
Yes, on one condition: that you accept the patina of daily use. Where lemon, wine or tomato lands, the gloss turns dull at that spot; it is a chemical reaction, not a stain. The sealer reduces how much the stone absorbs; with it, stain resistance is medium. If you are torn between this stone and a granite, the marble or granite guide sorts out the decision.
What care does this marble need?
Water and neutral soap are enough for cleaning; acidic cleaners stay away from this stone. Sealer goes on when the stone absorbs: if a drop darkens the spot where it lands, it is time to seal. And if use leaves marks, the marble takes a repolish that removes them.
How does Grigio Carnico reach my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
