What Black Rose Marble looks like
A dense web of white veins, fine and medium, runs in every direction over the black background with high contrast. Within the slab the web shifts sharply: a dark brown tint shows through in the lower area. With the bright polish of the photo, the surface throws strong reflections over that pattern.

Where to use Black Rose marble
- BathroomsVanities, showers and walls; honed in the wet zone
- WallsFull walls where the white web shows without cuts
- Interior floorsHouse floors; the shine gives way in traffic areas
- TablesDining tabletop; coasters when you serve wine
- KitchenIt works if you accept that it takes on a patina of use over the years
- OutdoorsKeep it indoors: the weather strips the polish off marble
- ScratchesLow
- StainsMedium, with sealer
- AcidsLow
If your piece takes several cuts, ask to see them together in a photo: with a web that shifts so much within the slab, every cut comes out different.
Black Rose Marble finishes
With this black, the finish decides how much light the slab returns and how the web reads.
-
Polished
The one in the photo: gloss brings strong reflections and makes the white web jump against the background.
-
Honed
It dulls the mirror and softens the feel; in the shower it slips less than polished.
-
Brushed
Fine relief and low gloss, made for floors where a mirror finish would show wear soon.

Questions about Black Rose Marble
Does Black Rose work in the kitchen?
In the kitchen it works if you accept that lemon, vinegar or wine can leave a dull patch in the gloss: it is a chemical reaction and cleaning does not remove it. A dark background shows stains less than a white one, though in return it betrays dust and water marks. If that worries you, a granite holds up better on that front, and the Marble or granite? guide compares the two.
How do you maintain the black?
A dry cloth removes the dust a dark background betrays; for anything stuck on, water with neutral soap. The water drop test tells you when to seal: if the wet spot darkens, the stone is absorbing and asking for sealer. And wipe up whatever spills right away, especially if it is acidic.
How is it different from Nero Marquina?
Both are black marbles with white veins, and that is where the resemblance ends. Nero Marquina carries a few fine, straight veins over a deep black; Black Rose builds a dense web of veins that runs in every direction.
Is the photo a real slab?
Yes: it is the photo of a complete Black Rose slab, and the detail shot comes from that same slab. Every slab carries its own pattern. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.
Does Black Rose ship to my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
