Fusion quartzite

Quartzite · Brazil

Wavy bands in ocher and greenish gray, stacked like layers of earth: that is how Fusion quartzite looks in the slab photo. It holds up against acids and heat far better than marble, so it performs in kitchens, bathrooms, and tables for daily use.

What Fusion Quartzite Looks Like

Dense waves of ocher and greenish gray run across the slab horizontally, stacked like layers of earth, with beige touches. The pattern is fluid and the contrast sits at a middle level. In the photo the polish shines and every band reads clearly. The waves change without extremes along the slab. Every slab carries waves of its own, so you choose yours from photos.

Ask for a cut-off piece of your stone and put a drop of lemon on it: if it reacts, that piece contains some calcite or dolomite.

Fusion Quartzite Finishes

In the photo the surface is polished; honed leaves a matte finish and leathered adds texture you can feel.

  • Polished

The one in the photo: an even sheen that returns light on countertops and tables.

  • Honed

It removes the sheen and leaves a matte surface; wet polish slips, so it wins in showers and floors.

  • Leathered

A surface with texture under your fingers and low sheen, far from the polished reflection.

Questions about Fusion Quartzite

How is Fusion quartzite different from Fusion Red?

Both carry horizontal waves; what changes is the background. In the photo of Fusion Red quartzite, the dark waves cross the brick red background and a thin white vein runs with them; the slab in the photo of this Fusion stays in ocher and greenish gray.

Does Fusion quartzite work for a kitchen countertop?

Yes. The surface scratches glass and the knife does not mark it; lemon and a hot pot affect it far less than marble. Cut on a cutting board anyway: what you protect is the knife's edge. Compare more countertop stones on the kitchen page.

Does Fusion quartzite need sealer?

Sealer is not automatic on quartzites: some barely absorb and others need it. Against stains, this stone performs at a middle level and sealer improves it. A cut-off piece lets you check: pour water on it, and if the wet spot darkens, that slab wants sealer.

Is Fusion quartzite the same as quartz?

No. Fusion is quartzite: natural stone. What they call engineered quartz is something else: an agglomerate, not a natural stone.

How does Fusion quartzite get to my country?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
