What Blue Sodalite granite looks like
An intense blue fills the background of the photo, broken by irregular areas of yellowish beige. Fine white lines run through the brecciated pattern and give it high contrast. The variation within this slab is marked: blue and beige alternate with no fixed order. In the photo, blue and beige sit under a high-gloss polish.

Blue Sodalite granite finishes
The same intense blue changes its gloss with the finish: polished goes to maximum reflection, and honed, leathered and flamed bring it down.
-
Polished
This is the one in the photo: a smooth surface with the highest gloss of the four.
-
Honed
It leaves the surface matte and soft to the touch, without the shine of a polish.
-
Leathered
Leathered leaves a surface with texture you can feel and a low gloss.
-
Flamed
A rough surface that slips less than polished: it is the finish for wet areas, like a pool edge.

Questions about Blue Sodalite granite
Are Blue Sodalite and Sodalite Blu the same stone?
Yes. Sodalite Blu is another spelling of the same name: both refer to the same granite. Mention the one you know when you ask for your quote.
How does Blue Sodalite granite hold up in the kitchen?
It is one of the most forgiving stones for daily use: the countertop takes hot pots, knife cuts and the kitchen acids that would etch marble. Stain resistance is high with the sealer kept up. For care, mild soap.
How is it different from Azul Bahia granite?
Both are granites in an intense blue, and the pattern tells them apart. Azul Bahia granite shows, in its photo, a grainy blue with white areas and dark patches; the background of Blue Sodalite, in its own, breaks into irregular beige areas with fine white lines. Choose by pattern: grainy on one side, brecciated on the other.
What care does Blue Sodalite granite need outdoors?
Almost none: granite works outdoors because it keeps its color and does not wear down in the rain. On facades, terraces and stairs it serves as is; next to pool water choose flamed, which leaves the surface rough and slips less.
How does Blue Sodalite granite reach my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
