What Venus Marble Looks Like
A warm white background, crossed by fine soft gray veins, on the diagonal and spaced out, with some isolated beige patches. Venus is a trade name: what this slab shows is a low contrast, with veins and patches that do not compete with the background. The polish in the photo leaves a high sheen on that white. Within the slab the pattern varies moderately. Your slab will not be identical to this one: in marble, every piece carries its own pattern, and you choose it from photos.

Venus Marble Finishes
On the warm white of this slab, the sheen and the feel depend on the finish you choose.
-
Polished
The one in the photo: high sheen on the warm white; think walls, tables and vanities.
-
Honed
Matte and soft to the touch: this finish suits floors and showers, because polished stone slips when wet.
-
Brushed
It leaves fine streaks and a sheen between matte and glossy; the surface gains texture.

Questions about Venus Marble
How is Venus marble different from Silver Glace marble?
Both carry fine gray veins on the diagonal over a white background. In this photo, Venus brings the warm background and some isolated beige patches; Silver Glace marble, in its photo, shows a clean white with few veins.
How does Venus marble behave in a kitchen?
Venus works in a kitchen if you accept the patina: over the years, the marble takes on the marks of use. Kitchen acids, like lemon juice or vinegar, leave a dull mark on the polish that cleaning does not remove: it is a chemical reaction, not a stain. If you prefer a countertop without those marks, granite stands up better to acids. See more stones on the natural stone for kitchens page.
What care does Venus marble need?
Day to day, clean with water and neutral soap and wipe up spills right away: wine, coffee or lemon juice. The water drop test tells you if the stone needs sealer: if it darkens where the drop landed, it is time to seal. If the sheen wears in traffic areas over the years, the marble can be polished again.
Is the photo a real Venus slab?
Yes. Both shots show the Venus slab: the full view and a close-up of its pattern. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
Will I receive Venus marble in my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
