Marble · Italy
Fine horizontal lines, so closely spaced that the slab reads as a dark wood: that is the pattern of the Venghé marble slab in the photo. It performs in bathrooms, walls and interior floors.

What Venghé Marble Looks Like
The background is a dark grayish brown, covered by a banding of fine, straight, parallel lines, all horizontal and so tight that the whole recalls the grain of a dark wood. In that banding, dark brown, brownish gray and grayish beige mix at low contrast: no line stands out from the rest. Across the slab, the banding repeats evenly, line after line. The surface in the photo carries the high sheen of a polish.

-
Polished
It is the finish in the photo: the surface shines and reflects light.

Honed
Matte, with no reflection; it is the finish for showers and floors where water falls.

Questions about Venghé Marble
How do I tell Venghé apart from Grigio Tao marble?
By the way the striping runs. Grigio Tao also lives on fine lines: in its photo they run vertically and are faint; a single thin white vein crosses it. In the Venghé photo, the lines run horizontally, fine and closely spaced.
How does Venghé marble hold up in a kitchen?
A kitchen works if you accept that this marble takes on a patina over the years: the marks of use stay. If lemon, wine or tomato lands on it, that spot loses its shine; it is a chemical reaction, not a stain. The right move is to wipe it dry right away. If you want a countertop that handles acids and scratches better, the marble or granite guide compares the two stones.
What care does Venghé marble need?
For daily cleaning, water and a neutral soap are enough; wipe up any acidic liquid at once. To decide whether to seal, do the water drop test: a few drops of water on the stone; if it darkens where the water landed, it is time to seal. Sealer lowers how much Venghé absorbs; the stone is not waterproof.
Are the photos of a real slab?
Yes. The full slab and the close-up of the lines are photos of a real Venghé slab. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
How does Venghé marble get to my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
