How do I tell Tundra marble apart from Bardiglio Nuvolato marble?
The tone of the background sets them apart. In its photo, Bardiglio Nuvolato runs deeper: a dark bluish gray crossed by clouds and diffuse whitish veins on the diagonal. In yours, Tundra stays a medium gray, with soft patches and light dots, no defined veins. If you want a quiet gray drawn only by clouds and dots, this is it.
Does Tundra marble work for the kitchen?
It works in a kitchen, but years of use leave a patina on the surface. Lemon, vinegar or tomato leave a dull mark on the polish that will not come out with cleaning; sealer reduces what the stone absorbs but does not prevent that reaction. How do you clean and seal Tundra marble?
For daily cleaning, neutral soap with water is enough, rubbing with a soft cloth. Faced with an acidic liquid, the rule is to dry it right away. The water drop settles the sealer question: if the wet area darkens, the stone is asking for sealer.
