What Skysand Marble looks like
An irregular ochre line runs diagonally and separates the golden yellow area from the blue-gray one; over the golden beige background, the cloudy pattern carries fine veins and the contrast between the two areas is medium. The diagonal of the line and the cloudy background make the pattern change noticeably within the slab. In the photo, both areas shine with the polish.

Skysand Marble Finishes
The finish changes the shine and feel of this golden stone: polished gleams as in the photo, matte finishes mute it.
-
Polished
The one in the photo: a reflective shine across both zones.
-
Honed
Tones the polish down to matte; where there is water, it is less slippery than polished.
-
Brushed
Brushing leaves a fine, even texture to the touch, useful where the floor gets wet.
-
Antiqued
Softens the shine into a matte with an aged look; the surface loses the photo's reflection.

Questions about Skysand Marble
Is the slab photo real?
Yes, it is the real slab of a Skysand marble: you see it whole and up close. Each slab carries its own pattern. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
How does it differ from Giallo Provenza marble?
Both stay within the golden range, and both patterns are cloudy. In its photo, Giallo Provenza marble holds a warm ochre with soft grayish patches and a stone texture; in the slab photo, Skysand shows one golden yellow zone and one bluish gray zone, separated by the ochre line running diagonally.
Does Skysand marble work for a kitchen countertop?
It works if you accept that it takes on a patina over the years: lemon or wine burns the polish shine and leaves a matte patch cleaning will not remove. It is not dirt: it is the chemical reaction of calcite with acid. If your kitchen works hard, the marble or granite guide compares this stone with granite before you decide.
How do I know if Skysand marble needs sealing?
Check how much the slab absorbs: leave a drop of water on the surface and, if the stone darkens under the drop, apply sealer. It makes the marble drink less; it does not close it completely. For cleaning, water with neutral soap is enough; wine or lemon gets wiped up right away.
How does Skysand marble reach my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
