What Giallo Provenza marble looks like
A warm golden ochre fills the background, with faint darker clouds and stains in beige and greenish gray melted into it. There are no veins to set a direction and the contrast stays low: within the slab the pattern changes in moderation, without breaking the even tone. The photo shows the surface in matte, with the stone's texture in view. Every slab is born with its own spread of clouds: this pattern does not repeat.

Giallo Provenza marble finishes
In the photo the ochre is matte; the finish you choose changes the gloss and the feel of the surface.
-
Polished
Mirror gloss: the golden ochre looks livelier on walls and in bathrooms.
-
Honed
Matte and soft to the touch: the one for floors and showers, where wet gloss gets slippery.
-
Brushed
It leaves fine lines and a firm feel; it suits floors where foot traffic wears the gloss of the polish away.
-
Antiqued
It removes the reflection altogether and leaves the gold with texture; for pieces where the feel leads.

Questions about Giallo Provenza marble
How do I tell Provenza apart from Giallo Reale?
Look at the bands: Giallo Reale carries a more intense ochre, crossed by fine horizontal bands. Provenza spreads clouds and soft stains, with no line that sets a direction. If you want a strong gold with direction, yours is Giallo Reale; if you prefer a calm background, this is it.
Does Giallo Provenza marble work for a kitchen countertop?
It does, with an agreement made first: a marble countertop collects marks of use. The acid of lemon, vinegar or tomato dulls the gloss exactly where it lands: that mark does not clean off, it comes out by polishing the piece again. It also scratches more easily than granite or quartzite, so the cutting board is always there. For heavy kitchen use, look first at a harder quartzite on the stone for kitchens page.
What do you clean this marble with?
Water with neutral soap is all that daily cleaning asks. What matters is drying what lands right away: wine or coffee leaves a stain if it stays. Acid cleaners, on top of that, dull the polish. For the sealer, watch how the stone drinks a drop of water: if the surface absorbs it, that slab asks for sealer.
Does the slab photo show real marble?
Yes. The first photo is a real Giallo Provenza slab and the second is a close-up. Every slab carries its own pattern: yours is chosen from photos. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
Does Giallo Provenza marble reach my country?
