Polaris Gold quartzite

Quartzite · Brazil

A net of brownish orange veins and curved bands runs over the golden cream background of the Polaris Gold quartzite slab in the photo, with a petrol gray zone at the bottom. Its hardness makes it fit for kitchens, tables and walls.

What Polaris Gold Quartzite looks like

Brownish orange veins form a net that covers the golden cream background, joined by curved bands. The palette moves between cream, ochre yellow and orange, with a petrol gray zone settled in the lower part of the slab. Contrast is high: the orange net and the petrol gray zone stand out sharply from the cream background. With a net, bands and a gray zone on one slab, the pattern changes a lot within it. The photo shows the polished finish: the orange net gleams over the cream.

Polaris Gold Quartzite finishes

The finish decides how much the surface gleams and how it feels: from the mirror of polished to the matte of honed.

  • Polished

The finish in the photo: a surface smooth to the touch and a near-mirror reflection.

  • Honed

It leaves the surface matte and soft to the touch: comfortable for floors and showers, where polished gets slippery when wet.

  • Leathered

Soft relief under the hand and restrained sheen: less mirror than polished.

Questions about Polaris Gold quartzite

Can Polaris Gold quartzite handle kitchen work?

Yes, fully. The surface scratches glass and a knife leaves no mark on it, so the countertop stands up to daily use; still, cut on a board, because the knife edge is what you protect. With lemon or vinegar acids and with the heat of pots it performs far better than a marble. For the kitchen, you have more countertop stones to compare.

How does Polaris Gold differ from Calacatta Siena marble?

Both work in gold, but they are different stones. In its photo, Calacatta Siena shows a pale yellow background with a net of thick golden ochre veins running horizontally; being a marble, lemon and vinegar leave marks on it. Polaris Gold is a quartzite: in its photo, the orange net runs over golden cream with high contrast, and its hardness stands up to everyday kitchen use.

Does Polaris Gold quartzite need sealer?

It depends on the slab: porosity varies between quartzites and not all absorb the same. Drop a bit of water on the stone: if it darkens, it is time to seal it. For everyday care, water with a neutral soap is enough.

Does the photo show a real slab of this quartzite?

Real: what you see is the Polaris Gold slab, whole and in a close-up detail. Every slab carries its own pattern. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.

How does Polaris Gold quartzite reach my country?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
