Picasso Gold marble

Marble · Italy

Intense ocher orange with a net of branching reddish brown veins: that is Picasso Gold marble. Its ground is interior walls and bathrooms.

What Picasso Gold marble looks like

Ocher orange dominates the slab, and over it branches a net of reddish brown veins, some stretches fine and others thick; yellow completes the palette. Contrast with the background is medium, and within this slab the net changes moderately. As with every marble, two slabs are never identical: the one for your order is chosen from photos of the ones available. The finish in the photo is the glossy polish.

If lemon or wine spills, wipe it up at once: the acid leaves a dull patch on the polish that scrubbing will not remove. The sealer helps with absorption, not with that chemical reaction.

Picasso Gold marble finishes

Polished is the one in the photo; the other finishes dull the sheen and change how the stone feels.

  • Polished

The one in the photo: the sheen keeps the brown net clearly visible.

  • Honed

Soft to the touch, with no sheen: one of the finishes that suit showers and bathroom floors.

  • Brushed

A firm feel with fine scratching: it quiets the sheen and works in wet areas.

  • Antiqued

A deliberately aged-looking texture: the orange loses reflection and gains relief.

Questions about Picasso Gold Marble

How does it differ from Picasso Brown and Picasso Green?

All three Picasso stones carry a network of veins; what changes is the background. Picasso Brown has an olive brown background with a network of rust red veins. Picasso Green takes the olive green and adds white diagonal veins to its reddish network. This Gold is the one with the ochre orange background.

Can Picasso Gold go on a kitchen countertop?

It works if you accept the patina: over the years this marble gathers wear marks, and kitchen acids leave dull patches in the polish that scrubbing will not remove. If you want a countertop that stays without a single mark, look at other stones. The kitchen page lists options that handle that use better.

What care does it need?

Basic care is water and pH-neutral soap. An acidic liquid needs wiping up at once: it leaves a dull patch of chemical etching, not a stain. The slab absorbs liquids and the sealer reduces how much, without making it waterproof. The water drop test shows whether the sealer is still working.

How do I choose the exact slab for my order?

By looking at photos: the one on this page is a true slab of this marble, but every slab carries a different net. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.

Do you ship Picasso Gold marble to other countries?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
