orange onyx

Onyx · Pakistan

Amber orange crossed by wavy bands that build one large curve under a crystalline white area, as the slab photo shows. Orange onyx lets light through and goes mainly on interior walls.

It is also known as Onice Arancio.

What Orange Onyx looks like

Wavy bands of orange, amber and cream draw one large curve across the slab and leave a crystalline white area at the top. The high contrast marks every change of band, and the pattern shifts noticeably within the slab. The polish in the photo gives the whole surface a clean gloss. Lit from behind, the stone shows the bands in transparency.

If your wall takes several slabs, ask for them consecutive and bookmatched, so the bands run from one piece to the next.

Orange Onyx finishes: gloss or a light behind

The slab in the photo is polished; the big decision is whether the wall will carry a light behind it.

  • Polished

Mirror shine, as the slab photo shows.

  • Honed

No gloss: honing leaves the stone matte to the touch and to the eye.

  • Backlit

An even, cool light behind the stone: the bands light up.

Questions about Orange Onyx

Are Onice Arancio and Orange Onyx the same stone?

Yes. Onice Arancio is another way of writing orange onyx: both names are the same stone.

How is it different from Honey Onyx?

In its photo, honey onyx runs cream and light honey, with soft bands and a vertical fibrous texture. In yours, the Arancio lets orange take over, with high contrast and one large curve of bands under a white area. Both let light through and take the same care.

Does Orange Onyx work for a floor or a kitchen countertop?

No. Onyx is soft and foot traffic marks a floor easily; a countertop that works every day does not suit it either. Its place is on walls, on low-use vanities and on decorative indoor tables.

How do you care for Orange Onyx?

A soft cloth and neutral soap are enough; then dry the surface, because standing water leaves marks on onyx. No acidic or abrasive cleaners: acids etch this stone the same way they etch a marble.

Does Orange Onyx reach my country?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
