Perlatino marble finishes
In a low-contrast beige, the finish decides how much light the stone gives back and how it feels to the touch.
-
Polished
The marble's high shine on the beige; wet, the surface is slippery, so keep it out of showers.
-
Honed
A matte surface, without the reflection of the polish: the finish to order for showers and bathroom floors.
-
Brushed
Brushed grain: a surface with no reflection and more grip where there is water.

Questions about Perlatino marble
How is it different from Perlato Royal marble?
Both are beige marbles with cream spots running horizontally. In its photo, Perlato Royal marble spreads rounded cream spots in horizontal bands; in the Perlatino photo the spots are small and line up in a single direction. In photos, what changes is the shape of the spot and the way it is arranged.
How does Perlatino hold up in the kitchen?
It takes the heat of daily use, but acids leave their mark: lemon, wine or tomato dulls the polish in a spot that cleaning does not bring back, because it is a chemical reaction, not a stain. If you accept that patina, a countertop works. If the patina does not convince you, read the Marble or granite? guide before you choose the kitchen stone.
What care does Perlatino marble need?
Daily washing comes down to water, a cloth and neutral soap. Dry any acidic liquid that lands on the stone right away, and check the sealer with the water drop test: if the drop darkens the marble, it is time to renew it. The marks that use leaves on the polish are fixed with a re-polish.
Is the photo a real slab?
Yes: they are photos of the real slab, complete and close up. Every slab carries its own pattern: the one in your order will differ from the one in the photos. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.
