Indian Aurora granite

Granite · India

Wavy coral, gray and black bands run diagonally across the dark gray background of the Indian Aurora granite slab. This granite from India handles heat, scratches and acids: it works as well in a kitchen as on facades, floors and tables.

What Indian Aurora Granite Looks Like

On this slab, coral shares the wavy bands with gray and black. All of them run diagonally over the dark gray background, with high contrast and a fluid pattern that changes a lot within the slab. The sheen in the photo comes from the polished surface. Every slab is different. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.

Indian Aurora Granite Finishes

The photo shows the slab polished; these are the finishes used on granite and how each one changes it

  • Polished

Mirror shine, like the one in the photo; the surface feels smooth to the touch.

  • Honed

It takes down the shine: the coral and the gray end up on a matte surface.

  • Flamed

Fire gives it a rough texture that slips less: the finish for outdoor floors and pool coping.

  • Leathered

Run your hand over it and you feel a soft texture.

Questions about Indian Aurora Granite

How is Indian Aurora different from Fusion Red quartzite?

Both play with waves of color, but they are not the same stone. In its photo, Fusion Red quartzite looks brick red and carries dark horizontal waves plus a fine white vein; Indian Aurora, in its own photo, brings coral, gray and black bands running diagonally over a dark gray background. Fusion Red is quartzite and this is granite: both hold up well in the kitchen.

How does Indian Aurora granite perform in the kitchen?

In the kitchen this granite handles hot pots, knife scratches and daily lemon or vinegar. Granite is the most forgiving stone for daily use, and you notice it on a countertop that works hard. For cutting, use a cutting board, more to protect your knife edges than the stone.

Does Indian Aurora granite work outdoors?

Yes. Granite stands up to rain without losing color, so facades and terraces work well. For outdoor floors and pool coping, order it flamed: the surface turns rough and slips less.

What care does Indian Aurora granite need?

Water with a neutral soap is enough for daily cleaning. Watch the cleaners: if they carry concentrated bleach, the sealer turns dull, so it is better to avoid them. How much it absorbs depends on each granite: a drop of water on the stone tells you, because the stone darkens where it absorbs.

How does Indian Aurora granite reach my country?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
