Ijene Blue Quartzite finishes
Polished, honed or leathered: all three work on Ijene Blue and change how much the surface reflects.
-
Polished
The one in the photo, with the slate gray in a mirror finish; it slips on wet floors.
-
Honed
It removes the reflection and leaves the slab matte; the right choice for floors and showers.
-
Leathered
Leaves texture in the surface of Ijene Blue and takes away almost all the shine.

Questions about Ijene Blue Quartzite
Ijene Blue quartzite or engineered quartz?
They are different materials. An Ijene Blue slab is natural stone, a quartzite born from quartz-rich sandstone under heat and pressure. What is sold as engineered quartz comes out of a factory as a composite.
What is the difference between Ijene Blue and Blue Roma?
In its photo, Blue Roma is a light bluish gray, with branching reddish veins and soft concentric patterns. Ijene Blue, in its own, is a bluish slate gray crossed by fine ochre veins on the diagonal. They differ in the tone of the gray and the color of the vein.
Does Ijene Blue quartzite need sealer?
See what happens with a drop of water on an Ijene Blue offcut: if the slate gray darkens under it, apply sealer. Some quartzites absorb very little and others do; it depends on the quartzite. Daily cleaning is water with neutral soap.
Is the slab in the photo real?
Yes. The Ijene Blue in the photo is a real slab, with its glossy polish, seen whole and in a close shot. Every slab is different. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.
How do I receive Ijene Blue quartzite in my country?
