Caravaggio quartzite

Quartzite · Brazil

The slab in the Caravaggio quartzite photo gathers blue-gray swirls with salmon and cream patches in one diagonal movement. The pattern fills the slab with contrast, and the stone handles daily use in kitchens, bathrooms and tables.

What Caravaggio quartzite looks like

Dense blue-gray swirls cross the slab in the photo diagonally and carry salmon and cream patches. Over the blue-gray background, touches of dark blue appear, and the contrast is high, with the gloss of the polish. The pattern flows, and within the slab it changes sharply.

Caravaggio quartzite finishes

Polished, honed and leathered: each one changes how much the surface shines and how it feels.

  • Polished

The finish in the photo: a glossy surface that reflects light.

  • Honed

A matte finish with no gloss: with water on it, it is less slippery than polished.

  • Leathered

You feel a texture by touch, and the shine stays low, with no reflections.

Questions about Caravaggio quartzite

How does Caravaggio differ from Explosion Blue quartzite?

In the color. In its photo, Explosion Blue has tight waves mixing blue-gray and cream diagonally. In the Caravaggio photo, salmon and cream patches and a dark blue join the blue gray. If you want only blue gray and cream, look at Explosion Blue; if you want the salmon, Caravaggio.

Does Caravaggio quartzite hold up to everyday kitchen use?

Yes. As a quartzite, it scratches glass and a knife does not mark it. With vinegar, lemon or a pot fresh off the stove, it behaves far better than marble. The countertop can work every day; for cutting, use a board.

How do you care for Caravaggio quartzite?

Simple cleaning: water and pH-neutral soap on a soft cloth. Porosity varies from one quartzite to another: drop a bead of water on an offcut and, if the stone absorbs it and darkens, that piece needs sealer.

Is what I see in the photo a real slab?

Real. What you see are two shots of the same Caravaggio slab: the full slab and its close-up detail. Every slab is different. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.

Can Caravaggio quartzite reach my country?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
