What Gascogne Beige marble looks like
The reference photo, which it shares with Alma marble, shows an even greenish beige background with a sand-gray tint. There are no veins or pattern; the only thing that breaks the calm is tiny dark specks, widely scattered and barely visible. With that low contrast, the surface reads even, and within the slab the pattern changes little. In that photo the surface looks matte. Since every marble slab is different, it is best to choose yours from real photos before buying.

Where to use Gascogne Beige marble
- BathroomsFull bathrooms; honed in the shower and on the floor
- WallsInterior cladding, where it performs best
- Interior floorsInterior home floors; foot traffic dulls the shine
- TablesDining tables; wipe lemon or wine dry right away
- KitchenOnly if you accept it taking on a patina of use over the years
- OutdoorsBetter indoors: rain and sun dull the polish
- ScratchesLow
- StainsMedium, with sealer
- AcidsLow
For the shower, ask for the slab honed or brushed; polished stays for walls and vanities, where nobody walks on it wet.
Gascogne Beige Marble finishes
The finish decides two things here: how much the surface shines and how it feels to the touch.
-
Polished
Maximum shine and a smooth feel. Wet, it slips: think twice before floors and showers.
-
Honed
It cuts the reflection and leaves a matte feel: the comfortable choice for showers and bathroom floors.
-
Brushed
It creates a very fine texture with a matte feel; a good companion for floors in daily use.

Questions about Gascogne Beige marble
How is Gascogne Beige different from Veselje marble?
In the tone of the background. Veselje stays a smooth, even cream; in its reference photo, Gascogne Beige leans beige with a greenish tint and sand-gray touches. In both photos the dark specks are barely visible, so color rules the choice.
Does the reference photo show a confirmed Gascogne Beige slab?
No. The same reference image goes with Alma marble, a closely related stone, so the photo does not help tell the two stones apart. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.
Does Gascogne Beige work for a kitchen countertop?
Yes, if you are fine with the surface changing with use. When lemon, wine or tomato lands, acid leaves a dull patch on the polish that does not come off with cleaning: it is a chemical reaction, not a stain. If you want a countertop without marks, read the marble or granite guide first.
What care does Gascogne Beige marble need?
Day to day, water and neutral soap; acidic cleaners are out. Wine or tomato dries right away when it spills. Marble absorbs some liquid: sealer lowers that absorption, and the water drop test tells you when it is time to renew it.
How does Gascogne Beige reach my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
