Avorio marble

Marble · Spain

A warm, smooth beige with no veins: Avorio marble keeps an even tone across the whole slab in the photo. It fits bathrooms and walls where you want a soft background that competes with nothing.

Also known as Marfil.

The warm beige of Avorio Marble

A warm beige fills the slab in the photo, with not one vein crossing it: that is the first impression of Avorio. The pattern is smooth; only a few very faint tonal clouds, with pinkish beige touches, move the background without ever forming lines. The contrast is low and the surface in the photo is matte. Across the slab, Avorio's tone barely changes.

If your shower will be in Avorio, ask for a honed finish: polished, this surface turns slippery when wet.

Avorio Marble finishes

On this smooth beige, the finish decides the gloss and the feel: polished with reflection, smooth honed, or brushed with texture.

  • Polished

It gives the highest gloss on the smooth beige; slippery when wet.

  • Honed

It cuts the reflection and leaves the beige matte: a soft-to-the-touch surface for showers, vanities and floors.

  • Brushed

Fine stripes that give the smooth background some texture; it also grips well in wet areas.

Questions about Avorio marble

Why does it also appear as Marfil?

Marfil is another trade name for this same stone: the word is Spanish for ivory. Both names refer to the same marble.

How does it differ from Crema Marfil marble?

In their photos, both are light tones with almost no pattern. Crema Marfil marble is a uniform cream. The Avorio slab in the photo is a warm beige with faint tonal clouds and a touch of pink.

Does Avorio marble work on a kitchen countertop?

It works if you accept marble's character: a drop of lemon or wine leaves a dull patch on the polish. Over the years it takes on patina: those are marble's etching marks. Wipe up spills right away and decide on sealer with the drop test. If you want less maintenance, see natural stone for kitchens.

Is the photo a real slab?

Yes: what you see is a real slab of Avorio marble. No marble slab repeats another's pattern. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.

How does Avorio marble reach my country?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
