What Domus Red Marble Looks Like
Wine red dominates the slab: thick veins of that same red run diagonally, joining bluish gray fragments with grayish green touches in a brecciated pattern. The contrast is high: the intense red stands out against the cold gray of the fragments. Within the slab the change is marked: red and gray are distributed differently in every area. The photo shows the surface in a brilliant polish. Each slab carries its own distribution of red and gray, so choose yours from its photo.

Domus Red Marble finishes
Polished is the finish in the photo; honed and brushed dull the reflection and change the feel.
-
Polished
The one in the photo: high gloss and a smooth feel. Slippery when wet, so it does not go in showers.
-
Honed
Matte and soft to the touch: the finish for floors, showers and wet areas.
-
Brushed
Fine brush stripes that leave the surface matte and the feel firm.

Questions about Domus Red Marble
How is it different from Rosso Levanto?
Rosso Levanto is a dark burgundy with gray-green areas and a network of white veins. On the Domus Red slab in the photo the roles reverse: the fragments are gray-blue and the thick veins joining them are wine red, running diagonally. The full Rosso Levanto slab has its own page, in case you want to put them side by side.
Does Domus Red marble work for a kitchen countertop?
Yes, if you see patina as a feature and not a flaw: marble takes it on with years of use. Lemon and vinegar leave dull marks on the polish over time, and sealer helps with stains without making the stone waterproof. If you want a countertop that stays like new, the marble or granite guide helps you compare.
What care does Domus Red marble need?
Daily cleaning is water with neutral soap, and acidic liquids get dried as soon as they spill. Sealer depends on how much each slab absorbs: the water drop test tells you. If traffic dulls the shine in one area over the years, the marble accepts a re-polish that brings back the original face.
How do I know which slab I will receive?
Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order. The slab photo shows a real piece in a brilliant polish, but yours will carry its own distribution of red and gray. That way you choose while seeing the exact pattern that will arrive at your project.
How is Domus Red marble shipped to other countries?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
