What Camouflage marble looks like
Gray fragments fitted like pieces of a mosaic and surrounded by fine veins, some light and some dark: that is the pattern of Camouflage marble. The background is lavender gray, with blue-gray fragments and touches of light brown. The veins wrap around each piece vertically and horizontally and show medium contrast against the background. Camouflage is a trade name: the real tones are the ones in the photo. The mosaic variation within a slab is moderate.

Where to use Camouflage marble
- BathroomsWalls, vanity and shower; in wet areas, honed is better
- WallsThe mosaic reads in full on a bathroom or living room wall
- Interior floorsInterior house floors; the shine dulls in traffic areas
- TablesDining tables; coasters for wine and cups
- KitchenIt works if you accept that daily use keeps leaving a patina behind
- OutdoorsIts place is indoors: outside, rain dulls the polish
- ScratchesLow
- StainsMedium, with sealer
- AcidsLow
The polish is slippery when wet; for the Camouflage shower and bathroom floor, order it honed or brushed.
Camouflage marble finishes
With Camouflage, what changes between finishes is the shine and the grip where there is water; choose based on use.
-
Polished
Full polish: the lavender gains light, the fine veins look sharp, and an acid mark shows up dull against the shine.
-
Honed
Matte with more grip when wet: the practical choice for showers, bathroom floors and vanities.
-
Brushed
Fine texture under the hand and a muted shine; with no shine to wear away, daily use leaves less trace.

Questions about Camouflage marble
How is it different from Moon Grey marble?
Both are fragment marbles, but they are put together differently. In Moon Grey the pieces are angular and large, in grayish brown, joined by a blue-gray matrix. In Camouflage the lavender-gray and blue-gray fragments sit surrounded by fine veins, light and dark, in a mosaic pattern.
Does Camouflage work for a kitchen countertop?
It works, if you accept that the stone records use. A splash of lemon, wine or tomato leaves a dull mark on the polish that cleaning does not restore; over the years those marks become patina. The countertop works well like that; if you want no marks at all, granite resists acids better.
What care does Camouflage marble need?
Mild soap and water are enough for daily care; wipe up wine, coffee or lemon right away. Like every marble, it is porous: sealer reduces absorption. A drop of water on the surface tells you when it is time to reseal.
Is the photo a real slab?
Yes: the slab in the photo is real, with its lavender-gray fragments and fine mosaic veining. Since every slab carries its own pattern, yours will not be identical. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
How does Camouflage marble get to my country?
