What Pantheon travertine looks like
Brown and beige bands, very fine and tightly packed, run horizontally over the brown background and order the surface. Lines and background separate at mid contrast. The pores complete the picture: they are gas bubbles from the limestone that formed in hot springs. The pattern holds even across the slab; between slabs, choose with photos.

Pantheon travertine finishes
First choose the filling: filled pores for a smooth surface or open pores for a rustic feel; the finish decides the sheen and the feel.
-
Polished
The highest sheen: order it with filled pores and you get a smooth, reflective surface.
-
Honed
Matte; where the surface gets wet, it is less slippery than polished.
-
Brushed
Low sheen; with open pores it serves on facades and outdoors.
-
Antiqued
It gives the stone a weathered look; with open pores it is the finish for facades and pool coping.

Questions about Pantheon Travertine
Why don't all Pantheon travertine slabs show bands?
Because of how the stone is cut. Cut with the vein, travertine shows parallel bands, like the ones on this slab; cut across the vein, the pattern turns into a cloud with no direction. You choose by looking at photos of the real slab.
How is it different from Dark Silver travertine?
In the intensity of the bands. In its photo, Dark Silver travertine carries strongly marked brown and beige horizontal bands along the slab; Pantheon shows them fine and mid-contrast over a brown background.
What care does Pantheon travertine need?
This porous limestone asks for sealer. With acids it behaves like marble: lemon juice or vinegar leave their mark on the surface. Water and neutral soap handle everyday cleaning. Where there is water every day, check the pore filling from time to time.
Is the slab photo real?
Yes: the stone in the photo is a real Pantheon travertine. The close shot reveals the pores and the fine bands. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
How does Pantheon travertine reach my country?
