What Palladium Green Quartzite Looks Like
Rounded violet-gray clasts fill the photo slab, joined by a greenish matrix with emerald green touches. The pattern is brecciated and medium contrast: the violet gray of the clasts is joined by the greenish gray and the emerald glints of the matrix. The surface comes polished and mirrors light across the whole slab. From one area to another of this slab, the clasts and the matrix are distributed very differently. It is not translucent, so backlit installation does not apply.

Palladium Green Quartzite Finishes
The same brecciated pattern looks different depending on the finish: the sheen changes and so does the feel.
-
Polished
The one in the photo: high sheen over the clasts and the green matrix.
-
Honed
Matte and soft: slips less than polished on wet floors and showers.

Questions about Palladium Green Quartzite
How do I tell Palladium Green apart from other green quartzites?
By the pattern. The slab in the photo brings together rounded violet-gray clasts joined by a green matrix with emerald glints. In its photo, Lapponia Green moves emerald green and black in large pinkish-white waves. Amazzonite concentrates, in its photo, intense turquoise patches among pinks and burgundies.
Can I use Palladium Green quartzite in the kitchen?
Yes. A knife leaves no mark on it; hot pots and food acids affect it far less than marble. Since the brecciated pattern changes within the slab, approve with photos which part of the pattern will show on each cut. Daily care asks for nothing more than water, mild soap and a soft cloth.
Does Palladium Green quartzite need sealer?
Sometimes yes: porosity changes from one quartzite to another and this stone is no exception. The check fits in one drop: let it fall on the surface and, if the stone darkens where it landed, it is time to apply sealer.
Is the photo a real slab?
Real. What the photo shows is a slab of this quartzite, complete and with its close-up detail. The spread of clasts and green changes from slab to slab. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
