Jadore quartzite
Quartzite · Brazil
Clouds of light sage green cover the slab in the photo, and a dark green zone finishes the bottom. Jadore quartzite pairs that cloudy pattern with quartzite hardness: a knife will not scratch it and it handles kitchen heat.

What Jadore Quartzite looks like
The background is light sage green and the pattern moves in clouds. The clouds mix greenish gray and dark green, with fine light veins and reddish touches. Contrast is medium and the clouding moves moderately within this slab, with the dark green zone at the base as an accent. The photo shows the polished finish: the sage green reflects light.

Questions about Jadore Quartzite
How does Jadore quartzite differ from Avocatus quartzite?
They are two green quartzites, but not twins. In its photo, Jadore moves in light sage with clouds and a dark zone at the base; Avocatus, in its photo, drops to a deep green in places with few fine white lines. Avocatus quartzite looks darker in its photo.
Does Jadore quartzite work for the kitchen?
Yes. It is so hard that glass scratches when it slides over it, while a knife gets nowhere. The difference from a marble shows in the kitchen: here heat and acids mark far less. To check that your slab is true quartzite, a drop of lemon on an offcut: if it reacts, that piece contains calcite or dolomite.
Does Jadore quartzite need sealer?
It depends on the slab: quartzites do not all behave the same. Some absorb very little and others need sealer. There is a simple test: wet an offcut and watch it. If the stone looks darker where the water landed, that slab needs sealer. Day to day, use mild soap and a cutting board, which protects the knife edge, not the stone.
Is the slab photo real?
Real: this is a Jadore quartzite slab; the full view and the close-up show the same piece. Every slab is different. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
