What Labradorite granite looks like
Iridescent blue flashes stand out against a greenish-gray background of large crystals. Those crystals mix shades of gray, blue-gray and black. The contrast is medium and, within the slab, the pattern stays even. The slab in the photo comes in a glossy polish; light does not pass through the stone.

Labradorite granite finishes
The photo shows the polished finish; the other three leave it matte, textured or rough.
-
Polished
High sheen over the greenish-gray background: the polished finish in the photo.
-
Honed
Matte: the reflection in the photo disappears and the surface feels smooth to the touch.
-
Leathered
A textured feel and low sheen, far from the mirror of a polished finish.
-
Flamed
It leaves the surface rough and without sheen, so it slips less: it goes on outdoor floors, terraces and pool coping.

Questions about Labradorite granite
How is it different from Lemurian quartzite?
In the background. Both photos show large crystals with iridescent blue flashes. In the Lemurian quartzite photo the background is black; in the Labradorite one, greenish gray. They are also two different kinds of stone, one a quartzite and the other a granite, with similar resistance to daily use.
Does Labradorite granite stand up to daily kitchen use?
Easily. Granite is the most forgiving stone for daily use: it takes hot pots, scratches and the lemon or tomato acids that would etch a marble. Countertop, worktop or island, Labradorite works every day without asking for unusual care.
Does Labradorite granite need sealer?
It depends. A simple test decides: drop a bead of water on an offcut; if the stone darkens at that spot, it is time to seal. Daily cleaning needs only water and pH-neutral soap; concentrated bleach stays out because it clouds the sealer.
Is the photo a real Labradorite slab?
Yes. It is a real slab of this granite, in its polished finish. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.
How does Labradorite granite get to my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
