What Fossil Coral Looks Like
Angular beige and cream fragments fill the slab in the photo, dense and even, over an ochre gold base. Between the light pieces and the gold of the base the contrast is medium, with no continuous vein crossing the mosaic. Within the panel the pattern spreads evenly. In the photo the panel appears polished, with a marked sheen.

Questions About Fossil Coral
Is fossil coral a single stone?
No. It is artisan work: pieces of natural fossil coral joined with resin over a base. The whole reads as a mosaic, never as one continuous stone. Each slab comes out different: yours is chosen from photos of the available slabs.
Does fossil coral work for floors or showers?
Neither one. On a floor, foot traffic scratches the resin before the stone. A shower with direct water is not among the uses of a semi-precious panel either. This panel works better on walls, vanities and tables.
Can fossil coral be installed with light behind it?
It can. The real slab confirms it: in the photo, the light fragments of fossil coral may let some light through, with no certainty. If they do, the slab is mounted with a source behind it that gives off no direct heat, because the resin cannot take it.
How do you clean a fossil coral slab?
A soft cloth with water is all the cleaning this panel needs. Cleaning products with solvents or abrasive grain are not part of its routine. Where hot pots or cups will land, use trivets.
How does fossil coral reach my country?
We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
