What Emerald Green Quartzite Looks Like
A pale sea green background fills the whole slab, with shades of blue green and grey. Soft diagonal streaks bring it to life and, crossing them, fine nearly vertical dark lines, light and sparse. Small blue glints complete the pattern over the polished shine of the photo. Contrast is low and the variation within this one slab is moderate: every slab brings its own, so yours is chosen from photos.

Emerald Green Quartzite finishes
It comes polished in the photo; honed and leathered keep the sea green with a different shine and feel.
-
Polished
The one in the photo: a shine that reflects light, with the blue glints on show.
-
Honed
It takes down the shine and leaves a matte finish: where there is water, it slips less.
-
Leathered
A textured surface that changes the feel and lowers the shine; for those who prefer less reflection.

Questions about Emerald Green Quartzite
How is Emerald Green different from Aquamarine quartzite?
Both run in light sea green; the fair thing is to compare them with the photos in hand. In its photo, Aquamarine quartzite carries soft diagonal white veins; Emerald Green goes for fine, nearly vertical dark lines and finishes with small blue glints.
Does Emerald Green quartzite work for a kitchen countertop?
Yes. Quartzite hardness scratches glass, and a knife has no effect on its surface; lemon and vinegar acids and hot pots do far less to it than to marble. Cut on a board anyway: the knife's edge is the only thing at stake.
Does Emerald Green quartzite need a sealer?
There is no single answer: every quartzite absorbs differently and the right thing is to test your own slab. Do it with a drop of water on a cut-off: if the spot where it fell darkens, the stone wants a sealer. If something spills on the light background, a damp cloth with mild soap takes care of it.
Is the photo a real slab?
Real: it is an Emerald Green slab, shown whole and in a close-up detail. Every slab carries its own pattern. Before you buy, we send photos of the slabs available for your order.
