Amazzonia Green quartzite

Quartzite · Brazil

Jade green with diagonal white waves and fine dark brown veins crossing them: that is what the Amazzonia Green Quartzite slab photo shows. It is a quartzite that handles kitchen work and stands out on walls and tables.

What Amazzonia Green Quartzite Looks Like

White waves run diagonally across the grayish jade green of the slab in the photo, and fine dark brown veins cross them densely: the contrast comes out high on the polished surface. The pattern shifts within this slab: the one that goes into your order is chosen from photos.

On a long island or a large wall, it pays to pick the slab from photos before approving the cuts: every slab is different.

Amazzonia Green Quartzite Finishes

In the photo the surface comes polished; honed and leathered take away reflection and change the feel.

  • Polished

The sheen in the photo: the white waves and the dark veins show with the high contrast of the slab.

  • Honed

It leaves a matte surface: where people walk on a wet floor, it slips less than polished.

  • Leathered

Relief under the hand and low shine: the same pattern with less reflection.

Questions About Amazzonia Green Quartzite

How is it different from Patagonia Green quartzite?

Both are green quartzites with diagonal lines. In its photo, Patagonia Green carries wide light gray veins; in the Amazzonia Green photo, dense white waves carry fine dark brown veins crossing over them. Its slab looks busier.

Can Amazzonia Green quartzite handle kitchen work?

It handles the rhythm of a kitchen with room to spare: a knife does not mark it, and lemon, vinegar or a hot pot, which punish a marble, do far less to it. Even so, cut on a board: the stone does not suffer, but the knife edge does.

Does Amazzonia Green quartzite need sealer?

The stone gives the answer: each quartzite absorbs differently. Drop a bead of water on an offcut: if the stone looks darker where the drop fell, that piece asks for sealer. Since its stain resistance sits at a middle level, sealer makes a difference where coffee or wine lands.

Is the photo a real slab?

Yes: the photos show a real Amazzonia Green slab, whole and with a close-up of the pattern. Before you buy, we send you photos of the slabs available for your order.

How does it reach my country?

We ship to any country, with the stone's documents of origin and its CE certification. On the shipping page we explain how it reaches each region.
